Hola! Music HG-36N Acoustic Guitar Review
For a small and new company, Hola! Music is killing it in the guitar industry. They’re an online-based company that manufactures guitars, ukuleles, gear, and accessories. One of their killer instruments is the HG-36N acoustic guitar.
With included accessories and a price so low it’s unbelievable, what’s the catch?
Let’s bait you in and get you hooked on all the good stuff!
The HG-36N guitar is a 36″ 3/4-size guitar with a dreadnought body. You can immediately see the gorgeous, reddish-brown grain of the mahogany with the stained spruce top with black binding. It’s a humble-looking acoustic guitar, but it has a hidden side.
The hidden side is actually in the hardware. It sports a Tusq nut and Tusq compensated saddle which is a refreshing surprise versus the cheap plastics that are used on budget guitars. Covered chrome die-cast tuners, dual-action truss rod, white bridge pins with black dots, and a strap button on the base wrap up the hardware.
The acoustic guitar doesn’t come alone as accessories are included in the buy. There are also several color options to choose from if you’d like to appease your vain streak. All in all, the Hola! Music guitar is a surprisingly well-built machine in a scaled-down size!

Hola HG-36N Reviews
The HG-36N guitar is a hit with the buying crowd. We do admit the materials are high-quality and the construction is solid. However, the main benefit of the 3/4-size acoustic guitar is its smaller size, but not all adults appreciate the convenient compact and lightweight shape.
Knowing before you buy is definitely the lesson learned here.
So, who’s the the 3/4 size guitar for? Primarily, kids will be the recipients of this guitar. It’s an ideal size and weight for kids to learn on and carry around. As an entry-level guitar, it’s a great starter and beginner guitar for students and kids that want a casual instrument to pass the time.
Buyers appreciate the price point and the better-than-expected quality.

Alternative Acoustic Guitars to Consider
Another 3/4-size guitar that’s not necessarily a kids guitar is the Yamaha JR1 FG Junior and the Yamaha JR2 guitars. They’re exactly the same in size and specs, but the JR2 has another color finish if you’d like to check it out. The accessories package that comes with both guitars will be different.
To learn the differences between the two, check out our full reviews on the JR1 and the JR2!
If it was the all-mahogany body that caught your eye, you’re obligated to strum by the Ibanez Artwood guitar. It’s definitely not a small guitar, and it’s definitely not a fully laminate instrument. It sports a mahogany back, sides, and neck, and it even has a solid mahogany top. This guitar is legit!
Hola! Music HG-36N FAQ
Is this a Laminate Guitar?
It’s unusual to find a solid wood and even a solid top guitar for this price – even being manufactured in China. Although Hola! Music claims high-quality materials, the fact that it’s not specifically marketed as a solid wood, let alone, solid top guitar is suspicious.
For this price range and its very light weight that kids can even carry, we highly suspect laminate.
What is Tusq?
TUSQ is a material used to make the nuts and saddles on a guitar. It’s resonant, consistent, and provides rich tone. It can be modified easily, and most importantly, it doesn’t have natural grains that can cause dead spots.
What is the Built-in Truss Rod on the HG-36N Guitar for?
A truss rod is built into the neck of the guitar to maintain neck integrity due to the tension of the strings from the headstock to the bridge. The truss rod is used to adjust the action of the strings. The action is the distance between the strings and the fretboard.
Lower action is easier for beginner players since it requires less distance and pressure to apply the strings to the fingerboard. Changing the action can be done by using a hex key that is in included in the purchase.
What is the Tortoise Shell-like Pattern on the Hola! Guitar?
This is a type of pattern used on this guitar for the black body binding and on the neck. Even though the tortoise shell-like pattern continues to the rosette, it’s screen printed on.
What does HG-36N mean?
This is the model number for this specific guitar. The 36 indicates the 36″ length and the N is for the Natural finish. The letters after the 36 in the model name will differ between finish models.
What are the Available Finish Options for the Hola! Guitar?
Other than the Natural finish, there is also pink, purple, and sunburst.
What is in the Accessories Bundle?
Included with the HG-36N guitar is a gig bag, shoulder strap, picks, hex key, and a black pickguard.
