The Best Floating Bluetooth Speakers In2024
1. DuoTen Floating Speaker – Best For Pool Use
- 【IPX7 Waterproof & Floating】IPX7 waterproof grade makes shower speaker blast your tunes even during complete submersion in 3-feet water for 30 minutes. This portable bluetooth speaker is designed...
When you’re looking for floating speakers to use in the pool, you want speakers that are not only waterproof but optimized for use in a pool environment. The DuoTen speakers are awesome because not only do they float but they have an in-built suction cup that you can attach to the pool wall.
✔️ What we like: Practical and compact design.
❌ What we don’t like: Not the most intuitive controls
Standout Features
- LED Display
- Light show
- High-quality bass
- Bluetooth connection up to 66 feet
- FM radio
If you’re looking for a bluetooth floating speaker to use at the pool, the DuoTen really has everything you need and more. Of course, it’s IPX7 waterproof rating is incredibly important. What this means, in everyday language, is that you can completely submerge this speaker in up to 3 feet for up to 30 minutes and the speaker will be completely fine.
This situation would probably never arise, of course, since the speaker floats really well on the surface of the water but it is testament to just how waterproof this speaker is!
The overall design of the DuoTen is super practical. Not only is it compact so that it won’t take up room in the pool but the suction cup works really well. This means that, when you’re playing a game in the pool and need the speakers out of the way, you can quickly attach them to the wall or surface at the side. It also has an attachable lanyard for when you want to take this speaker on a trip out away from the pool.
The cool features of this speaker do not stop there! It has LED lights incorporated which provide a nice light show that is ideal for evenings by the pool. It has a high-quality FM radio, 66 feet of Bluetooth connection and it even has an LED display that reminds you of its battery status and the time.
The only downside to this speaker is that some of the controls aren’t as intuitive as they could be. For example, you have to press a button 10 times to go through all the different light modes to switch the light show off. Some users find this a little irritating.
Really though, this is nothing compared to all the amazing features of this speaker and this is without even mentioning how great the sound quality is. The DuoTen has an enhanced bass that can really liven up any day at the pool!
2. Skywin Hot Tub Bluetooth Floating Speaker
- Larger size and superior sound quality: Our floating pool speakers are bigger and deliver better sound quality than other floating speakers on the market, allowing you to enjoy your music to the...
If you aren’t bothered about having a speaker that you can suction to things, the Skywin makes another great option for use in the pool.
✔️ What we like: Practical yet very attractive design
❌ What we don’t like: Not the highest quality of bass
Standout Features
- Built-in hanger
- 66 feet of Bluetooth connection
- Dustproof, shockproof and waterproof
- Cool light effects
- Can take calls
The Skywin is designed with versatility in mind. It’s awesome to use in the pool because of its slim, compact disk shape and high-quality Bluetooth connection. The speaker will not get in the way and you can stream to it from pretty much wherever you are hanging out outside.
It’s also, however, amazing in other environments since it is dust-proof and shock-proof as well as being waterproof. It has an IPX rating of 7 and, though it isn’t the most durable in dusty environments, it would definitely be great for a day at the beach. With the built-in hanger, you can easily attach it to a backpack whilst traveling or to yourself whilst on a hike.
Like the DuoTen, the Skywin has a bunch of nice light effects included. These sync to your music and really create a cool atmosphere. Plus, the speakers even take calls so you’ll never need to interrupt a pool party to answer your phone!
The sound quality of these speakers is good but lacks a little in the lower end. This shouldn’t be an issue for the average listener but if you really enjoy music with a lot of bass, this won’t be the best option for you.
Overall though, this Skywin floating speaker is really great value for money at less than $40 and it looks very high-quality too. This is definitely an awesome choice for those who want to look stylish whilst chilling at the pool or beach.
3. ALL-Terrain Sound Rugged Bluetooth Floating Speaker
- RUGGED – When you want the best beats while you’re out cycling, lifting weights, or even the shower after a great workout cycle, this rugged speaker encompasses the outdoors look with a minimalist...
If you’re looking for a speaker that can not only accompany you as you float around the pool but can be there through all of your outdoor adventures, you should definitely check this one out.
✔️ What we like: Incredibly durable
❌ What we don’t like: Small button size
Standout Features
- Withstands drops up to 10ft
- Industrial strength clip included
- 14 hours of battery life
- Built-in microphone
The ALL-Terrain speaker is really impressive on many levels. It is coated in rubber that means that it can withstand even a drop of 10 feet onto concrete. This is awesome not only for the clumsy people out there but also for those with a truly active lifestyle. If you want a speaker to take with you as you surf or jet-ski, this is the option for you. The industrial strength clip means that it can be by your side the entire way.
The sound quality is great and loud enough that you will hear it over whatever adventure you are on. What’s more, the ALL-Terrain has around 14 hours of battery life which means that you can take it out on those long days out and still know that you’ll be able to use it in the evening by the pool.
The only problem with this speaker is that it is a little difficult to see the buttons as they are fairly small. It’s definitely great that the speaker is compact and that the buttons are placed so that you can’t accidentally press them while you work out. However, if you have problems with your vision, you might not find this speaker the easiest to use.
Again, this ALL-Terrain floating bluetooth speaker boasts a number of additional features. It has a really high-quality built-in microphone for receiving calls, it has great Bluetooth and it’s rechargeable via USB so, when you finally do run out of battery, you’ll easily be able to charge up wherever you are!
4. ARISEN ROCKROCK Bluetooth Floating Speaker – Best Waterproofing
No products found.
If even the insane durability of the ALL-Terrain wasn’t enough for you and you need a speaker that is very resistant to dust as well as having another level of water resistance, check out the ARISEN ROCKROCK.
✔️ What we like: Level six dust-proof and anti-rust design
❌ What we don’t like: Not the loudest option
Standout Features
- 15 hours playing time
- Charges up quickly
- Comes with a lanyard
- Very lightweight
- High-quality mic included
The ARISEN ROCKROCK speaker is suited to even more extreme outdoor situations than the ALL-Terrain… If you’re looking for a floating speaker that you can use for long periods in the sea, this is a great option. Not only does it have an IPX7 waterproof rating but it’s designed to be resistant to rust from the salt-water. You only need to take a look at the solid structure with its layers of casing to realize that this is definitely the model with the best waterproofing.
Similarly, if you are looking for a floating speaker that is really dust-proof, this is the best option. It’s truly rugged design means that you can take this speaker pretty much anywhere and not worry about it at all.
It’s lightweight so great to chuck in a bag and take to the beach and, like the DuoTen, it also comes with a lanyard. What’s more, the controls are incredibly easy to master, even on the go. A single click turns the music on or off so you won’t have to mess around trying to figure this out while you’re swimming or running.
This speaker is not the loudest option on our list but should be plenty loud enough for most users. Plus, if you want to increase the sound, the high-quality Bluetooth integrated into the ARISEN ROCKROCK means that you can very simply connect to another speaker.
Like some of the other models in this list, the ARISEN ROCKROCK comes with a microphone incorporated for taking calls. This microphone is of a notably high quality and is ideal for making calls mid-adventure.
5. Altec Lansing IMW449 Jacket H2O 4 Floating Speaker
- BE THE LIFE OF THE PARTY - with this Bluetooth speaker that features a rugged design to fit your adventurous personality. Perfect for use at home, outdoors, outside in the bedroom, kitchen or bathroom...
If you’re less bothered about taking your floating Bluetooth speaker outside of the home and you just want a great speaker to use in your garden or pool, this is a great option for you.
✔️ What we like: 100 feet of Bluetooth connection
❌ What we don’t like: Sound quality isn’t the highest at louder volumes
Standout Features
- 10 hours of battery life
- Voice assistant integration
- Unique design
The Altec Lansing is another great option for using at the pool and the longer pill-shaped design makes a refreshing change from the circular speakers we have looked at so far. The design of these speakers is really sleek and the buttons on top are easy to use.
The real selling point of this speaker, though, is it’s impressive Bluetooth connection. With up to 100 feet of connection available, you and your friends will have no issue streaming to this speaker from anywhere at any party or barbecue.
The speakers can get really loud and are great at filling an outdoor space. However, the sound quality does tend to drop a little at these louder volumes. The speakers will still give you a good sound but, at just under $50, some buyers might expect the very highest quality which, it must be said, this speaker does not provide.
Nonetheless, this Altec Lansing floating Bluetooth speaker is a great option. It, again, has a high-quality microphone which, in this case, is made for voice assistant integration as well as taking calls. This means you can use with Siri or Alexa with this speaker no problem. With 10 hours of battery life and a voice assistant on demand, there will rarely be a reason for you to go indoors!
6. CYBORIS Bluetooth Speaker That Floats
- 【COMPETELY WATERPROOF】 IP67 Excellent choice to use around pool, beach, bath, boat, car &golf cart and all water environments. It can be submersed underwater in 3 feet of water, for 30 minutes,...
The CYBORIS packs an impressively high sound quality into its compact size and for an affordable price too!
✔️ What we like: High-quality sound throughout the range
❌ What we don’t like: Sound becomes muffled when holes fill with water
Standout Features
- 100 feet Bluetooth connection
- 8 hours playing time
- Microphone included
- Cool colored designs
With the CYBORIS, we again have a highly durable, great floating speaker that is incredibly waterproof and versatile. It has an awesome design and comes in a range of colors from camouflage blue to bright red. However, as great as these reasons are, none of these are the real reason for why we just had to include the CYBORIS in this list… The real reason is definitely the impressively high-quality sound!
The CYBORIS boasts twin units that allow for a real stereo sound which is perfect for an outdoor space. It has a high-quality sub-woofer that really brings out those lower notes but a very clear sound throughout the range.
The only thing to note with the CYBORIS speaker is that, though this speaker can be submerged in water, if you do submerge it, you need to empty the water out or the sound will become slightly muffled.
This floating bluetooth speaker by CYBORIS has an amazing 100 feet of Bluetooth connection and is compatible with a number of devices. Packed inside this tiny body, which is just 4 x 4 x 2 inches, is 8 hours of high-quality sound! You can take calls on it too.
7. EBODA Waterproof Bluetooth Floating Speaker
- IP67 WATERPROOF SHOWER SPEAKER & FLOATING – Waterproof shower speaker is thoroughly resistant to water, dust and sand. You can get it wet, muddy, covered in snow, and then hand wash it when you go...
Not only does the EBODA offer a high-quality Bluetooth connection but the light display incorporated really sets this speaker apart from the crowd.
✔️ What we like: Beautiful light display
❌ What we don’t like: Sound compromised slightly at higher volumes
Standout Features
- 30 feet of Bluetooth connection
- Carabiner included
- Palm-sized
- Dust and waterproof
- Microphone included
If you’ve still not found the best floating Bluetooth speaker for you amongst our list, the EBODA has a lot to offer and all for less than $25.
The Bluetooth integrated is of a really high-quality. You’ll have no issues with streaming from multiple devices with this speaker nor with taking phone calls easily and with no audio issues. It has a great stereo sound and can reach high volumes though the sound quality is compromised a little at the highest volumes.
The palm-sized design of this speaker and the carabiner included make this a great option if you want a speaker you can easily carry around. It’s also fairly dust-proof… not so dustproof that it could survive extremely dusty situations but definitely sturdy enough for days at the beach.
The real highlight of this EBODA floating bluetooth speaker is the light display included. The lights go all the way around the speaker, are really bright and are very pretty shades of pink, green and blue. Switching these on definitely adds something to the atmosphere of a pool or beach party and it doesn’t have to be dark to be able to see them well either.
8. FosPower Floating Bluetooth Speaker – Best Budget Option
- [FosPower IPX7 waterproof Bluetooth speaker] FosPower waterproof Bluetooth speaker is IPX7 rated. This means it can be fully submerged in water for up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Others offer IPX5
If you’re on a budget but you want a floating speaker that will still do everything you want it to, the FosPower could easily be the best option for you.
✔️ What we like: Great quality at an affordable price.
❌ What we don’t like: Doesn’t have the longest battery life
Standout Features
- Clever design expels water out
- Can be connected to other speaker
- IPX7 waterproof rating
- Micro SD card
- Carabiner included
This FosPower floating Bluetooth speaker, put simply, does what it says on the tin. It has a high-quality, long-reaching Bluetooth connection as well as a micro SD card to allow for versatile music streaming options. You can just as easily set it up to connect to other speakers as you can operate it in general. The buttons on the top are large and easy to see even in water.
The design of the FosPower is really unique in that it is not only highly waterproof but actually expels water out of it. This means that the sound will never be compromised by the holes filling up. The sound it puts out is really awesome. It is clear and crisp throughout the entire range.
Again, the speaker is palm-sized, really compact and also looks stylish. You can take it anywhere with the sturdy carabiner included.
While FosPower state that the speaker has a 10 hour battery life, some users have noted that it is shorter than this and perhaps more like 5/6. Nonetheless, the battery will certainly last long enough for you to enjoy a good many hours at the pool or beach with no issues!
At around $20, you really can’t go wrong with FosPowers bluetooth floating speaker.
A Guide To Choosing Floating Bluetooth Speakers
Waterproofing
It goes without saying that a good floating speaker should be waterproof… A floating speaker that isn’t waterproof is about as useful as a bucket with a hole in it! However, some of the speakers on our list are more waterproof than others and can withstand entire submersion.
This means you don’t have to be as careful around them when you’re diving into the pool. It also means that you can take them into more extreme situations like swimming in the sea.
The speaker on our list with the best waterproofing is the ARISEN ROCKROCK but, if you aren’t planning on using your speakers in the sea, most of the speakers on this list will work amazingly. It should just be noted that, of all the speakers on our list, the least waterproof is the CYBORIS because its holes fill up with water which tends to temporarily muffle the sound.
Suitability For Different Settings
So, with waterproofing explored thoroughly already, what other factors might you need to consider when choosing the best floating Bluetooth speaker for you?
Well, it really depends on where you want to use the speaker.
If you’re planning on not only allowing it to float around in the water but also taking it with you on trips and vacations, many of these models come with carabiners and the Skywin comes with a hook.
If you want to mainly use your speaker to chill by the pool, the DuoTen might be a good option because of its ability to suction onto the pool wall. If you’re looking to take this speaker on a more active adventure, either look at the ARISEN ROCKROCK or the All-Terrain speakers.
Bluetooth Connection
Another important thing to consider once you have narrowed down where you will mainly be using your floating speaker is what type of Bluetooth range you might need.
Both the Altec and the CYBORIS have over 100 feet of Bluetooth connection but its unlikely that many users would need quite this much. If having a great Bluetooth connection is really important to you though, perhaps don’t choose the conwin Swimmer.
Another thing to consider is whether you’d like to be able to stream calls to your Bluetooth speaker. Many of these speakers have microphones included. The Altec has the best microphone and has great voice assistant integration.
Appearance
Of course, part of the experience having a great speaker of any kind is in the appearance. We’ve intentionally chosen speakers that are compact as that is a significant factor of a floating speaker. All of these speakers are also very attractive but there are a number of different styles to choose from. If you would prefer a palm-sized speaker, not only for its appearance but also its practicality, then check out the EBODA.
If you’d like a longer, more traditional looking speaker, take a look at the Altec. If you’re looking for something a little extra, many of the speakers in this list come with integrated light displays. The DuoTen is really useful since it has a reminder of the time but, in terms of aesthetic value alone, the EBODA is really striking.
Budget
To get a great floating Bluetooth speaker, there is really no need to spend a fortune and all of the options in this list reflect that. If, however, you are looking to splash out a little (literally!) on a new speaker, you might like to check out the conwin Swimmer which boasts a really impressive sound quality. On the other hand, if you’re on a budget you can still definitely get a speaker with all the features you could really need or want in the Fospower floating speaker.
Awesome Floating Bluetooth Speakers
Each and every one of these floating Bluetooth speakers are sure to liven up any listening experience. Is there anything more enjoyable than swimming in the pool with your music playing?!
Despite the high quality of all of these speakers, we’ve really focused on drawing out comparisons across a number of criteria so that you get the best floating Bluetooth speaker to suit you.
