The Best Headphones for Sleeping
1. LC-dolida Sleep Headphones Review – Best for Sleeping on the Side
The LC-dolida Sleep Headphones are an excellent option for people looking for the ideal design who love to sleep on their side. The material and speakers are thin, which makes them comfortable for sound sleeping. Plus, the headphones are fully equipped with Bluetooth 5.0, high fidelity stereo sound, and they perfectly block out the light while sleeping because it acts as a 3D eye mask.
✔️ What we like: Ultra-thin HD stereo speakers, sleep design, and perfect for sleeping on the side
❌ What we don’t like: Facemask blocks nose making breathing a challenge
- Sleep Design 3D Eye Mask
- Bluetooth 5.0
- USB Charging Cable
- HiFi Stereo Sound
- 10 Hours of Playtime
I chose to review these headphones because of their excellent ability to provide maximum comfort while lying in bed and sleeping on your side. As a side sleeper, you will love the ultra-thin HD stereo speakers and the thin material because it will never interrupt your sleep whether lying on your back, your side, or sleeping in a chair.
The Bluetooth 5.0 technology and the USB charging cable are both made of top-quality material. The great thing about charging this headset is you can charge it for two hours and get 10 hours’ worth of battery life, which is great because it lasts for such a long time. And the excellent Bluetooth 5.0 tech means you’ll have no trouble pairing this device with just about any other Bluetooth device that you can think of.
One reviewer wasn’t very thrilled with the sleeping mask portion of the headset. She said that the mask blocked her nose and made it difficult to breathe through her nostrils at night. She may have been wearing the mask too low, because when you look at the pictures you’ll see that other users have very clear nasal passages and they aren’t being blocked by the eye mask whatsoever.
I also really appreciate these sleep headphones because they have the ability to perfectly block out the light while you’re sleeping. If you work at odd hours and have to sleep during the day, you can put on the sleep mask and turn on your favorite music or TV program and fall fast asleep without ever seeing light enter into your field of vision.
Lastly, currently the LC-dolida Sleep Headphones is a top recommendation online.
You can’t go wrong with such an amazing vote of confidence from of the biggest retailer in the world!
2. ZesGood 3D Bluetooth Headphones Review – Best Wireless
The ZesGood 3D Bluetooth Sleep Headphones are second to none as far as affordability, comfort, and technology are concerned. This 3D eye mask is perfect for those who have a difficult time sleeping because it blocks out the light, plays gorgeous high fidelity sound, and the comfortable design leads to a better night’s sleep.
✔️ What we like: Bluetooth 5.0 with optional 3.5 mm audio cable, comfortable and adjustable sleep mask
❌ What we don’t like: Uncomfortable, too thick, and too much background noise
- Adjustable Sleep Mask
- 8 Hours of Battery Life
- Bluetooth 5.0
- Effective Light Blocking Capabilities
- 3D Ergonomic Sleep Eye Mask
Right away, after putting on this sleep mask, you’ll notice that it’s incredibly comfortable to wear and it’s made of soft material. Although one reviewer felt that the sleep mask portion of the device was a little too thick which made it uncomfortable. Most reviewers didn’t feel the same way, but it seemed like something worth mentioning to you.
You’ll also appreciate this headset because of the exciting Bluetooth 5.0 technology added to enhance this design. You can pair it with your favorite Bluetooth device at any time and listen to audio as you drift off to sleep.
Or if you don’t feel like pairing a Bluetooth device for whatever reason, it also has an optional 3.5 mm audio cable that you can plug into your favorite phone, MP3 player, PC, laptop, or any other electronic device that plays music.
Another reviewer complained that there was too much bleed-through because he was hearing a lot of background noise. Again, this is a single complaint that didn’t come from a wide range of reviewers. It’s important to mention that this was a problem for one person, but at the same time it doesn’t seem to be a problem for everyone. He may have lots of background noise in his home, whereas you may sleep in a relatively quiet room at night.
The Bluetooth wireless capabilities are definitely second to none. The audio delivers quality high fidelity sound, and the battery lasts for about 8 to 9 hours off of a two hour charge. That is very impressive to say the least.
Finally, if you’re on the fence about the ZesGood 3D Bluetooth Sleep Headphones then you might want to consider the low price.
Priced around $25, this affordable headset is virtually a steal for such a low dollar amount.

I am a side sleeper so I’m particularly fond of these headphones. They incorporate the speakers in a unique way so that they do not press up against your ears while you’re attempting to sleep.
This provides maximum comfort and makes it very easy to wear these headphones while you attempt to listen to your favorite music or watch your favorite TV shows while falling asleep. Put them on while lying down or sleeping on your side and you’ll be off to dreamland in no time.
Another great feature is the fact that they cover your entire ears. This makes it possible to block out all ambient noise and background noise from your awareness. You’ll be able to focus on whatever it is that you’re listening to prior to going to bed.
So if you’re listening to an audio-book that you really enjoy, you’ll fully tune into the story while blocking everything else out of your experience. Or if you listen to self-help podcasts at night, you’ll get the perfect education without any distractions ruining the experience.
One negative is that a reviewer said the dye bleeds out of the fabric. The person unfortunately said that when the dye bled out, it ruined their linens. More than likely, this person sweats a lot while they sleep.
Otherwise there really isn’t any reason for the dye to bleed out of the fabric. So if you happen to be a heavy sweater while you sleep, this may not be the best option in your situation.
All in all, you cannot go wrong when you pick up the TOPOINT Wireless Sleep Headphones. They offer 10 hours of continuous battery life, give you the option of an upgraded battery chip for even longer playtime, and you can charge the headset in its entirety in about 2 to 2 ½ hours.
Sounds like a keeper to me!
4. Lavince Sleep Headphones Review
The Lavince Sleep Headphones is the perfect choice for active people looking to have an excellent set of sports headphones who also want a great headset that they can easily fall asleep wearing at night. This 2 in 1 combination has thin 0.25 inch speakers, high fidelity stereo sound, fashionable and comfortable material, and it utilizes the latest in Bluetooth technology.
✔️ What we like: 2 in 1 sports headset and sleep headphones,Bluetooth enabled wireless device
❌ What we don’t like: Disconnects easily and low audio
- Wireless Bluetooth 5.0 Tech
- True HD High Fidelity Stereo Sound
- Thin 0.25 Inch Speakers
- Comfortable and Fashionable
- Thin Speakers Great for Side Sleepers
Sports enthusiasts and runners really seem to appreciate these sports and sleep headphones. They act as an audio headband that you can use to work out at the gym, go running, practice yoga, or participate in any other outdoor activity while enjoying high quality audio from these sensational speakers. And best of all is that the headband also doubles as sleep headphones because it’s thin, comfortable, and easy to wear.
You can put these on if you live in a dorm and you want to block out noisy roommates, at home with a spouse who loves to snore, or anywhere else for that matter.
The audio is truly amazing, which is surprising because it’s made up of such small and thin speakers. In fact, the speakers are only a quarter of an inch thick, so you could easily sleep on your side without feeling pain or any disturbing inconvenient plastic rubbing up against your ears. You’ll hardly notice that you’re sleeping on speakers because they are so thin.
The Bluetooth capabilities are quite exciting as well. The wireless range is 45 feet, which is incredibly far for a Bluetooth device such as this. And the playback time is pretty spectacular as well. After a two-hour charge, you can get as much is 10 to 12 hours of playback time before you need to charge the device again.
A few reviewers said the audio was a little too low coming out of their speakers. And one reviewer said that the Bluetooth disconnected easily. Take these remarks with a grain of salt because there weren’t too many negative things said about these outstanding headphones for sleeping.
Besides all of the magnificent things mentioned above, the Lavince Sleep Headphones are also fashionable, comfortable, and very easy to wash. They are made of special pressure fabric that enhances the fabric’s breathability.
And you can remove the headphones from the headband and wash it with the rest of your clothes in the washing machine.
5. SleepPhones Classic Sleep Headphones Review – Best Noise Cancelling
The SleepPhones Classic Sleep Headphones are a step above the competition in the instance of noise cancellation technology. Not only do these headphones block out the noise, they help lower stress, they’re made with attractive moisture wicking breeze fabric, and they are soft and machine washable which makes them very breathable.
✔️ What we like: Comfortable headband with three sizes, active noise cancelling technology, detachable and washable
❌ What we don’t like: Speaker gets hot and breaks easily
- Natural Sleep Aid
- Sizes Available in Small, Medium, and Large
- Made with Comfortable Fleece Fabric
- Lightweight Design
- 3.5 mm Jack with 48 Inch Braided Cord
The various sizes are one of the reasons why so many people tend to gravitate toward these headphones for sleeping. They are available in small, medium, and large sizes. They are the most common sizes available for average people, so you’re bound to find the perfect fit for your head.
Besides that, you’ll love the incredibly soft, lightweight, and comfortable moisture wicking breeze fleece fabric. It feels silky smooth on your skin, so you’ll have no trouble wearing these headphones as listen to meditation tracks, white noise, or soft music as you attempt to put your head to pillow to fall asleep at night.
A few people had complaints about this headset as well. One person said that the speaker gets really hot, which is definitely something you do not want to happen. Hopefully this was just an isolated incident and he sent the broken device back to the manufacturer for a proper replacement.
On the other hand, a few other reviewers said that the headset breaks easily. This is a little disturbing because you’re paying good money for these headphones and you want a high quality product that isn’t going to break. Again, only a few reviewers complained out of over 100 positive reviews. So they may have bought faulty headphones that were damaged during the creation process and could easily be replaced with properly working ones.
Believe it or not, the SleepPhones Classic Sleep Headphones were designed by a doctor. This physician created them because he had so many patients complaining that they had a difficult time falling asleep.
So he created an amazing design that was comfortable, washable, breathable, and made with multiple sizes so that anyone could wear them comfortably at night without the need for sleep aids and other drugs in order to fall asleep and stay asleep for the duration of their sleep cycle.
6. Perytong Wireless Sleep Headphones Review – Best to Block Out Snoring
The Perytong Wireless Sleep Headphones are a wonderful choice because they were designed to eliminate background noise and block out snoring. They also have 10 hours of rechargeable battery life, use comfortable and breathable material that absorbs sweat, and have 33 feet of wireless connectivity.
✔️ What we like: 3 in 1 sleep headphones, sports headband, and wireless earphones combination, blocks out snoring
❌ What we don’t like: Volume too loud and beeping volume control
- 10 Hours of Rechargeable Battery Life
- Breathable and Comfortable Material
- Sweat Absorbing Material
- 33 Feet of Wireless Range
- Latest Bluetooth 5.0 Technology
So many people have fallen in love with these headphones for sleeping because they can’t take the snoring any longer and their partner is driving them crazy. They needed to do something to kill the horrible noise emanating from their partner’s throat and nostrils.
These headphones can completely block out the noise and eliminate the ugly sounds of snoring so you can have a beautiful and blissful night of sleep without any interruptions whatsoever.
Do you know what else is exciting about this headset? Because it uses the latest Bluetooth tech, you can literally place your connected Bluetooth device 33 feet away from your headphones and still receive high quality gorgeous HD audio pumping through your speakers.
How awesome is that?
You can leave your Bluetooth device on the other side of the room and still listen to your favorite tunes, TV shows, movies, or documentaries.
One and only one reviewer said that the volume is way too loud on this headset. This might not be a problem for you if you prefer loud audio. On the other hand, it could get annoying and uncomfortable if you’re trying to listen to soft music, meditation apps, or white noise while attempting to go to sleep.
You may want to keep the volume low in those situations and having ultrahigh volume that you cannot lower could become a problem. Thankfully this doesn’t seem to be an issue across the board since only one person seems to have this problem.
Another reviewer said that the volume control emanates an irritating beeping sound. Maybe they’re just sensitive to the sound because no one else seems to be bothered by it.
All in all, because of the 10 hours of rechargeable battery life and the comfortable and breathable material, so many users seem to love the Perytong Wireless Sleep Headphones.
So if you’re looking for high quality headphones for sleeping, this definitely seems like one of the best options and this is especially true if you’re trying to block out aggravating snoring sounds from your partner, roommate, or any other person in the room.
A Guide to Choosing the Best Headphones for Sleeping
Sometimes no matter how hard I try I just can’t seem to review the perfect headphones for sleeping for everybody. Some people prefer to make their own choices and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with this approach. In fact, you’ll likely find exactly what you’re looking for since you know what you want far better than anyone else.
At the same time, you may not spend a great deal of time reading about sleep headphones and you might not know all of the best features and qualities to look for. To help you choose the best product to meet your needs, I’m going to share valuable information to look into in my handy guide.
Noise Cancellation Capabilities
First up are noise cancellation capabilities. So many people fail to consider whether or not the headphones for sleeping possess the ability to eliminate outside noises from their awareness. You do not want to have lots of background noise bleeding into your consciousness as you attempt to listen to white noise, podcasts, or your favorite light music while trying to achieve an amazing night’s sleep.
So, when you make your final decision as you look for excellent sleep headphones; please consider their noise cancellation capabilities or lack thereof. Otherwise you may end up with an inferior product that doesn’t meet your needs and expectations.
If you want to buy a pair of fantastic noise cancelling headphones under $100 I recommend you read our post on those.
Thin & Flat Speakers
The type of speakers is also critical when buying sleep headphones. You do not want to purchase large and bulky headsets because the speakers are going to be big and bulky and uncomfortable. The last thing you need is to try to sleep on your side and have large and outrageous headphones keeping you awake at night.
Instead, focus on buying sleep headphones that have thin and flat speakers. Just because they are on the thin side doesn’t mean they will have inferior audio. On the contrary, thin and flat speakers can produce some of the sweetest sounds you’ve ever heard coming from your headset. You’ll be surprised at how good the speakers can sound and you won’t have hulking and large headphones interrupting you because they’re too uncomfortable.
Soft & Breathable Material
The material used to make the headband is also of the utmost important when you’re buying headphones that you plan on wearing while you go to sleep during the day or night. If the material isn’t soft or breathable, then it will be incredibly uncomfortable as you attempt to slip off into dreamland.
As you can imagine, comfort is always the name of the game when buying headphones that you intend to wear to sleep at night. If they’re too thick or made of scratchy and irritating material, you’ll end up are ripping them off your head at night out of complete frustration.
No one wants you to spend your hard earned money on an inferior and uncomfortable product, so definitely focus on the material when making your choice.
Many people seem to like sleep headphones made of fleece or other silky types of material. These seem to be the most positive options because they’re incredibly comfortable.
Best for Sleeping on the Side
Are you a side sleeper?
If so, the last thing you need is large and massive headphones keeping you awake at night. They are so uncomfortable to sleep on that it ultimately ends up ruining the entire experience. You have to get up and get out of bed because you need to take the headphones off.
When they are too big and it seems like you could end up breaking them as well. And since headphones are often expensive, that’s the last thing you should ever want to do.
So make it a point to change your focus when buying headphones for sleeping. You’ll benefit the most when buying thin sleep headphones with comfortable material, small speakers, and incredible stereo sound all rolled into one.
