Researching Bluetooth Truck Driver Headsets
Since truckers spend so much time on the road, I wanted to find the top Bluetooth headsets designed to meet their wants and needs.
I did focus on comfort for long term usage. That was one of my top priorities. I know you will wear a headset for many hours during the day. So I tried to stick with headsets that had comfortable earmuffs, a lightweight design, and the best choices that wouldn’t get too cumbersome and sweat-soaked after sitting on your head and ears for many hours in a row.
Easy pairing and wireless headsets were also a major priority when I was making my choices. I know that as a trucker the last thing you need is an annoying wire getting in your way as you’re trying to operate a 32 ton vehicle. That should never be a problem, so I only chose wireless Bluetooth headsets.
And having the option to pair your headset to two devices at the same time was also very important. Why? You may want to talk to friends or family members on the phone (so you need to think about mic quality) for a couple of hours and have the hands-free option to chat without breaking the law. But at the same time, you may want to hang up the phone and watch a movie on your iPad while taking a break.
If you are looking for the best behind the neck headphones instead, perhaps you should check that post out.
The last thing you need is to have to pair your device again every time you intend to switch from your phone to your iPad. It would be incredibly frustrating and I didn’t want to lead you down this blinding path so pairing with multiple devices was also at the top of my mind when I chose these products.
The Best Bluetooth Headsets for Truckers in 2025
1. BlueParrott B450-XT Headset Review – Very Popular
- Industry leading sound: The BlueParrott B450 XT Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headset is engineered for superior calls in high noise environments; Block out background noise with 96% noise cancellation
The B450-XT is one of the popular Bluetooth headsets for truckers is an excellent choice for truckers for many reasons.
✔️ What we like: Long range wireless, extended comfort, 24 hours of talk time
❌ What we don’t like: Microphone cuts out during conversations
Standout Features
- Pairs with two devices simultaneously
- VoiceControl activation for hands-free driving
- Talk time lasts 24 hours
- 96% noise cancellation
- Parrott Button
This headset is exciting because it offers a Parrott Button that allows you to gain access to your favorite features. So, instead of tending with the device to figure out how to turn on a feature you enjoy, you can just use this button and have the feature instantly turn on, which is always lovely.
The 24-hour talk time is also an exciting feature you don’t get from most Bluetooth headsets. You can charge the battery once and have it fully operational all day without worrying about running out of juice. You can talk or listen to music, watch a movie, or do whatever you want and still have plenty of battery life before you need to charge it again.
The design is also great because they kept truckers in mind when creating this Bluetooth headset. They realized they needed to assemble a headset that could take a beating. Because let’s face it, as a trucker, your headset will fall off; you might step on it occasionally, accidentally sit on it, and all kinds of unexpected things could happen. They designed this headset to withstand anything a trucker throws at it.
Finally, this BlueParrott B450-XT headset unfortunately cuts out during conversations from time to time. One reviewer wasn’t happy because he couldn’t continue a phone conversation because the mic cut out on him. Most reviewers didn’t seem to have this same concern.
2. Plantronics Voyager 5200 Headset Review
- Connects To: For someone that needs to take and receive calls on a mobile phone.
The Plantronics Voyager 5200 Headset is a great choice for truck drivers because it has great Bluetooth connectivity, noise canceling capabilities, and it easily links to all Bluetooth enabled mobile phones and other devices for communication on the go.
✔️ What we like: Triple-mic active digital signal processing
❌ What we don’t like: It doesn’t come with a charger
Standout Features
- 7 hours of talk time
- 98 feet roaming range
- Micro USB connection for charging
- Wind canceling
- Noise canceling
It remains powered up for seven hours straight. As a trucker, you can quickly charge the device in your cabin anyway, but you’ll likely have other things plugged in at different times, so having a long battery life is always great. It’s perfect when talking to your wife, kids, or anyone you must communicate with during a particularly long haul.
Although I’m not a trucker, I still like this headset for many reasons. Still, I mainly want you to roam for nearly 100 feet – or precisely 30 m – in any direction and remain connected to your Bluetooth-enabled phone. Sometimes, I tend to walk away from the phone, and I don’t have it in my pocket or clipped on my belt, but I still need to continue my conversation, so having extra roaming connectivity is an absolute must.
Many people were unhappy to learn that this Bluetooth headset doesn’t come with a charger.
I own so many electronic devices at this point that I don’t need another micro USB charger, so I use one of my existing chargers and plug it into the micro USB connection port to charge the device.
3. Conambo JBT800 Headset Review
- 【BLUETOOTH 5.0】The JBT800 bluetooth headset adapts advanced Bluetooth 5.0 technology to transmit and receive data at a faster speed, provide full wireless freedom with a 33ft operating range.
The Conambo JBT800 headset is fully equipped with a wide range of exciting features that make this top choice such a special headset.
✔️ What we like: Rugged design, 33 mm roam range, and multi-use pairing
❌ What we don’t like: Company allegedly attempts to pay reviewers to remove negative reviews
Standout Features
- Stable signal transmission
- Trucker grade noise cancelling microphone
- Ergonomic on-ear control buttons
- Quick pairing with all Bluetooth devices
- T Pad design
Truckers are particularly impressed with this Bluetooth headset because of the amazing sound quality. It utilizes A2DP musical support, which means the audio comes through with crystal clarity as you listen to your favorite songs, news and talk radio shows, or comedic podcasts.
The rugged design and the fact that this headset was built to last is also a great thing for truck drivers. I know as well as you do that some headsets tend to fly off your head while driving and many cheap ones break easily. This headset is sturdy, strong, and built to take a licking.
On another note, it also has an incredible battery that lasts up to 16 hours after charging it a single time. So you can practically get through the entire day on one charge and still manage to use the headset for talking, voice texting, and listening to your favorite music or programs without ever thinking the battery is going to die because it isn’t.
The sad thing is every once in a while an unhappy customer has a negative experience with the Conambo JBT800 headset. Instead of leaving well enough alone, the manufacturer allegedly felt it necessary to have the negative reviews removed. So they allegedly offered to pay the reviewers to take their negative reviews down.
4. Plantronics Voyager 104 Bluetooth Trucker Headset Review – Best Overall
- Comfortable design: Mono headset with over the head design and memory foam headband and earcup provide all day comfort
The Plantronics Voyager 104 Bluetooth Trucker Headset is an outstanding piece of audio technology that I’m happy to recommend.
✔️ What we like: Protected by P2i Nano rainproof coating
❌ What we don’t like: Battery stopped charging too quickly
Standout Features
- 24 hours of battery life
- 2.5 hours for a full charge
- 60-foot Bluetooth range
- Eliminates 99.6% of background noise
- Can hear clearly over loud diesel engine
When you drive a truck, the engine noise that comes from a diesel is so loud that it’s hard to hear yourself think let alone talk to somebody on the phone.
Yet the powerful noise cancelling technology within these headphones makes it possible to eliminate 99.6% of the background noise transmitted by a diesel engine, which is astonishing and nearly unheard of.
I also appreciate the glove-friendly controls. As a trucker, you’re likely wearing gloves to protect your hands during the long halls. This headset is easy to control directly from the ear holds, even if you have a sturdy pair of work gloves on.
This makes it convenient to switch back and forth from talking on the phone to listening to music to watching your favorite videos to selecting your favorite MP3s and podcasts. Truckers will love the glove friendly controls just as much as I did.
The one negative that I have to mention is a previous customer had a very difficult time with his battery. After using the headset on a few different occasions, he said that the battery suddenly stopped charging and he was no longer capable of getting any power from the headphones. This is a battery problem more than likely and it needs to be replaced. Contact the manufacturer for a replacement or figure out how to replace the battery on your own and the headset should begin working again.
At the end of the day, it brings me great pleasure to recommend the Plantronics Voyager 104 Bluetooth Trucker Headset. This exciting piece of technology has a comfortable design, which is really important for long-haul truckers and the memory foam headband is really comfortable.
5. TaoTronics Trucker Bluetooth Headset Review
TaoTronics is a leader in Bluetooth headset devices specifically designed with truckers in mind. Their latest headset is relatively inexpensive below $50 and it incorporates noise AI reduction technology, 24 hour wireless playtime, and a lightweight 2.8 ounce ergonomic design.
✔️ What we like: Soft ear pads and anti-slip pad
❌ What we don’t like: TaoTronics allegedly offers to pay reviewers to write reviews
Standout Features
- QCC3020 chipset
- Bluetooth 5.0
- 34 hours playtime
- Voice control
- Lightweight model
Some headsets were designed specifically to enhance the trucker experience. These companies realize how many hours truckers spend on the road and they’ve designed and created headsets to accommodate their needs. This is one of them because it has 34 hours playback time, which is almost unheard of in this business.
Even better, the voice control features make it possible to answer calls, reject calls, transfer calls, or redial the phone using simple voice commands. Instead of having to pull out your smart phone every time you need to use a feature, you can activate the option with your voice. Talk about convenient!
The soft ear pads and the anti-slip pad are possibly the most exciting features of all. You do not have to worry about ear pain because the soft pads insulate your ears from the plastic earphone device. And the anti-slip pad means the headset will stay in place instead of falling off throughout the day, which is certainly nice to have.
TaoTronics commits an act that many consumers frown upon. They contact their customers and offer to pay them to write a review. This isn’t unheard of in the industry but many people frown upon it anyway.
As far as I know, they are willing to pay for honest reviews whether positive or negative. They might not suffer from a lack of integrity like many people believe.
6. Zeonetak Trucker Bluetooth Headset Review
The Zeonetak trucker headset has so many great features for truckers and non-truckers to appreciate. It’s a wireless headset with powerful noise cancelling capabilities; it uses intelligent Bluetooth 5.0 technology, and has hands-free dialing and music playing features.
✔️ What we like: Hands-free dialing, Bluetooth 5.0, and fast charging
❌ What we don’t like: Loses Bluetooth connectivity during phone calls
Standout Features
- Bluetooth 5.0 intelligent technology multipoint pairing
- Music playing mode
- Phone dialing mode
- Long-lasting talk time
- Quick charging capabilities
Truckers truly appreciate this headset for its quick charging capabilities. You can plug in the headset and charge it for two hours and still receive a full charge. The best part? After charging for just two hours you’ll have a full 17 hours of playtime and 200 hours of standby time, which is kind of exciting if you ask me.
The easy portability and lightweight design is also stellar and some of the reasons why so many reviewers are enamored with this headset. Believe it or not, the headphones and mic weigh a total of 0.11lbs, which actually weighs less than your average egg. Can you believe that? This headset is so light that you practically forget that it’s on top of your head.
On the not-so-exciting side of things, one reviewer unfortunately had the displeasure of losing Bluetooth connectivity during most of his calls. This may have just been a defective headset that needed to be replaced because no other reviewers made the same complaint. Many reviewers complemented the Zeonetak Trucker Bluetooth headset on its connectivity prowess. But it was an issue that needed to be mentioned regardless of whether it was true.

Please consider the following categories when choosing a headset to enhance your truck driving experience. Otherwise you might end up buying a clunky ineffective Bluetooth headset that doesn’t get the job done.
Noise Cancellation
Picking a headset with noise cancellation capabilities is an absolute must when you’re out on the road. Not only will you have to contend with all of the ambient noise from the traffic in your vicinity, you also have to contend with the loud truck taking you across the country that makes plenty of noise and can easily ruin your listening experience.
Your headset should incorporate the best noise cancellation technology into its overall design. It should block out the ambient noise from the truck, local traffic, and other disturbing background noises that could make it impossible to hear your favorite songs or audio programs.
Battery Life
Choosing a device with strong battery life is also critical to your mission when looking for the best Bluetooth headset for truckers. Why is battery life important? You need a strong battery to power you through your entire trip.
You do not want to have to stop listening to your favorite songs or give up your phone calls because the battery continues to run dead on your Bluetooth headset. That would be a crying shame and we do not want you to experience this unnecessary pain while you’re stuck on the road making a delivery across the country.
Hands-Free Operation
Simple hands-free operation is also a must for drivers looking for the best Bluetooth headset for truckers. You need to focus on getting from point A to point B without any distractions whatsoever. Having voice command at your beck and call will make it easy to operate your headset without ever needing to take your hands off the wheel.
Sound Quality
What’s the point of buying a headset if the sound quality stinks? You would have just as much fun throwing your money in a fireplace, dousing it with kerosene, and lighting it on fire. Make sure the sound quality of your Bluetooth headset uses noise cancellation technology and all of the latest audio enhancements to improve your listening experience.
