The Sony S100F Soundbar is a favorite of mine because of its easy Bluetooth and HDMI connectivity options, its awesome stereo quality sound, and when I connect it to my TV it delivers a home theater quality to it.

One of the first things that immediately struck me about this soundbar is its incredibly slim design. I honestly thought because it was so slim and didn’t have much weight to it, that it would probably deliver an uneventful listening experience at best. Thankfully I was wrong, because the audio quality is loud, beefy, and really amazing.
I also wanted to use this more for my home TV system, and I was leery because I thought I’d have to have a tough time connecting to the HDMI port. Nothing was further from the truth, because connecting this speaker via HDMI was one of the easiest things in the world to accomplish. I was very happy with its simplicity.
I don’t like that one unhappy customer said the lights on the soundbar weren’t working upon delivery, meaning it didn’t work correctly from the second he took it out of the box. This can be frustrating because even though the audio still works without the lights, it’s one of the features so you certainly want to work nonetheless. This doesn’t appear to be a regular problem for everyone, so let’s hope that this was a one-off incident.
When all is said and done, I feel great recommending the Sony S100F Soundbar because it comes from a trusted brand, it has easy Bluetooth connectivity to some of my favorite electronic devices, and even the HDMI TV setup with simple to accomplish. Plus, the awesome stereo sound really puts this soundbar over the top in my opinion.
Guide to Choosing a Soundbar Under $100

In this price range, you are mostly looking at 2 channel soundbars. This means that they only provide drivers for the left and right, as opposed to a 3 channel soundbar that would provide left, right, and center. This carries on until 5 channel systems and even 7 channel systems if you are very dedicated.
While a 2 channel soundbar is on the lower end of capabilities, you can still have an amazing experience with just 2 drivers. You can also sometimes come across 2.1 channel systems which will have a built-in subwoofer. These can be a fantastic option and if the sound quality holds, they can be great value for money.
Equalizer
Equalizer modes can be a very helpful addition to a soundbar system. They can allow for sound customizations for different circumstances which can enhance the sound experience. For example, the different sound modes for categories such as music and movies will have specially selected bass and treble levels to give you a balanced sound for those applications.
Modes for news and dialog can also be beneficial for anyone who struggles with hearing soft voices. These sound modes are terrific extras and are worth considering but ultimately, if the overall sound quality is bad then no amount of level adjustments can make it sound good. So, it is often more helpful to prioritize good sound quality over just having the option of adjusting your sound mode.
